This was the joint longest stay in our 2 weeks of travelling in Japan. We booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2 as we climbed Mt Fuji in the middle 24h period. The hotel is 5-10 minute walk from the train station/bus terminal so it is well equipped in terms of public transport, there are a couple dozen eateries within 20 minutes walk as well as convenience stores also within that walking radius. The staff were very helpful and spoke good enough English to answer our queries. The breakfast provided was a charming basked with fruit, rice and fish, miso soup etc. that was delivered on the mornings that we specified either at 7:30 or 8:30. The 'room' which was more like a small holiday let chalet was equipped with a doorbell camera so you could see who was at the door which was a lovely touch. The traditional decor was infused with some more modern finishing touches i.e. well equipped kitchen, TV and western style beds. The view from the outdoor area to the rear would have been spectacular had the weather been on our side with an undisrupted view of Mt Fuji (assuming the clouds aren't in the way like they were for our stay).

We loved the property, room and service. The ample parking is a plus point. Communication was very friendly and responsive, both before and during the stay. We are vegetarians and they customised our breakfast accordingly, and it was excellent! The room and bathroom are large and very comfortable. The private backyard is lovely to have tea and breakfast in. The stone bathtub was very relaxing. There's a good okonomiyaki restaurant next door, and we enjoyed eating dinner there. The view of Mt. Fuji from the designated viewpoint at the hotel is beautiful. We would absolutely return to stay here!

I really cannot stress how exceptional this stay was. Our best stay in Japan so far. Location is about 10-min walk to Kawaguchiko station. Room is so clean and spacious, could definitely fit 4 comfortably although we are only 2, comes with a huge bathroom with vanity (which is rare in japan) and a medicinal stone bath too. We could even see mount Fuji from the garden. The property also has its own mt. Fuji viewing point which is perfect for pictures. Would love to come back again and stay here, with a group of 4 it would be even better value for money.

The room was large, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We had a great view of MtFuji from the garden behind our room...an even better view from the viewing platform. I think that the views are better than the hotel suggests in its promotional material. Useful facilities included a microwave oven in the room, and a guest laundry. Frozen meals can be bought from a vending machine. Restaurants close VERY early in Kawaguchiko, so the microwave allows 'fine dining' from Lawson or 7eleven. If you are too late. Nearby Zoo restaurant is a good option.

The staff were fantastic, good communication in advance of the stay, very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Little touched made the stay welcoming, from our name next to our front door, staff dropped off 2 umbrellas outside our door when the snow started, paths were cleared of snow in the early morning. Very near to the train station. Bath was brilliant especially on a cold day. Options for frozen food from vending machine which could be heated up and drinks in minibar (you have to pay for these if you drink)
